So an update, it seems they have auto credit another 200 GB already. Feels heavenly coming from those shitty FUPed 512 kbps broadband plans. Hope it continues till some wired alternatives come to my area :)

if you mean that any data left over from your 200 gb is carried forward to next month , then no , 200 gb validity is 30 days only, been using it since 2011 since the only alternative to me is mtnl wired line but this works out better then any plans they have i get a stable 1mbps in morning which goes to 2mbps after 6 pm and from 10 to 11 pm it is non stop 3.5 the max in delhi i can get .

of coerce it has is problems some times you can hardly browse in mornings , sometimes it disconnects every 2 mins or so most of times things work out in couple of hours . then only time i had to call CC was in Nov when they some how managed to cap my speeds to 50 kb , speaking to them or any one for that matter din't help, it worked out on in it's own albeit after nearly 40 days !!!!

Rj27, where are you based?

In Haryana, mine is a rural/semi town area, BTS saturation shouldn't be an issue at my place. It looks like currently I'm the only one leeching the site :)

No I meant that when I checked the data balance via ussd *446# it showed balance as like 195 GB, 200 GB both alongwith date of validity (screenshot in above post). So is it showing 350 GB or just a weird way of reporting. On the first day when i started with a 500 MB 3 day trial pack it showed only the MB balance as per pack. So after checking speeds for a day, next I recharged with the 1650 pack, then the balance started showing as 200 GB, 85 MB remaining from trial pack. Later when trial pack validity was over, it started showing 2 data balance yet again or is it the same with everyone else using it (a new screenshot of data balance is below).

Since I'll most probably be through with the 200 GB within 15-20 days (already done 50 GB in 3-4 days thanks to office holidays & weekend:p). With kind of speeds I'm getting, data forwarding question doesn't even arise.

those lazy Mtnl guys what that means like you have 195 gigs left from 209 gigs , they show both like mine is showing '133041757KBytes 209715200 expiring on 13/01/2015' any it is always great to be on Bsnl network , recently in himachal i was pushing a easy 10 mbps , just wish they would upgrade delhi and mumbai's network, only H and no H+ IS SO 2010 :) if it works for you then it works but that is big IF.

Just an update here for few of the folks who might be using this plan. Seems like MTNL Delhi has started adding 500GB of Data on this 1650 recharge (new screenshot below) instead of 200 GB as seen in my earlier screenshot above. No need for making call or emails for further top anymore I guess. My usage from last 2 months has been 192 GB & 185 GB respectively though.

This plan is such a blessing for me 8 mbps near constant speed with 99.8% uptime & speed reliability with 500 GB FUP, way better than the only other alternative available in my area which is the 1 mbps FUP bsnl broadband plan for 1445 which also comes out ~1650 after taxes and surprisingly worse uptime.

Naah, Its BSNL 3G HSDPA network only, just the sim is from MTNL delhi. All this much speed ~ 8 mbps is possible only on Bsnl 3G since Mtnl Bts are still running on 3.6 mbps HSDPA. Waiting for my area Bsnl BTS to be upgraded to HSPA+ if ever.

Funny thing is 3G BTS here is being feeded by Fiber & is probably up most of the time with consistent speed, while the old copper broadband which I got rid of had more downtimes due to cuts & all. Also their broadband gateway servers are congested like shit in daytime while 3G here works pretty much sweet anytime of month.
