Nexus S is not available officially in India. You have to buy it from USA. Costs some 24K INR. Samsung Galaxy S is available officially in india.I purchased Galaxy S coz i liked its features. I feel main advantage of Nexus S is - it will be getting Android OS updates much faster than Galaxy S.

^ 2.1 . It'll soon be upgraded to 2.2 Froyo as well I think but it has only 256MB RAM compared to LG O1

Nexus S on the way, hopefully it should be in my hands by next week

Thats gr8 man!!!! Please post your reviews when u get it.....

why is tht nexus s will get updates faster than Galaxy?
because its a google phone?

Yup. That's the main reason. Nexus One is the first android phone to get any new OS updates. Google has already started rolling out Gingerbread for Nexus One, and other manufacturers are yet to give Froyo.

samsung Galaxy s has a software layer provided by samsung. so they require more time to modify the newer updates with their own stuff. nexus one and nexus s are pure android phones. no extra stuff. and since google is responsible for the updates, they deliver them faster. i do not think anyone is stopping samsung from delivering android 2.3 to galaxy s faster than google (for n1) but it usually does not happen.

One of the most important feature missing in all the android phones except Nexus series is the ability to switch between the stock android UI and the custom made UI by the manufacturers. I would like to see this feature implemented, but I strongly doubt any manufacturers will do this.

arey bhai. it is not something that u can uninstall or hide. it is a highly customized android build. we call it a software layer over stock android but it is deeply integrated. if it was just an installable layer, performance would be much worse.

of course, you can probably find third party builds if you so desire. :(

the fact remains, if it was an easily removable feature, there would have been uninstallers available in the market. but no. :(
