Univercell has carried full-page "Pongal offer"ads - saying discounts varying from 1000 to 5000 . Samsung Galaxy Tab discount 5000 - A friend of mine called up & they say MRP 38000 & after 5000 discount, cost is 33000 - Online its available for 30800 onwards (Univercell itself has it for 31500 online) - I guess good scam to take people for a ride - Even other phones it will be the same, I suspect

heh. i guess it is pretty clear that it is safe to stick with flipkart. though their prices are higher by around 500-1000 bucks compared to local stores.

LG Optimus One is ruling the entry level android phone market now due to forthcoming Gingerbread update promised by LG, they say it will be released in May. The only downside though is its resistive touchscreen.

From what I heard it was not .. There is another model which is called Optimus GT540 which is resistive.

Sorry, my bad. Its capacitative. The resistive touchscreen was with GT540.

yeah its capacitative ... its best with cap of 10k .... it comes with 2.2 thats the biggest advantage ... and ram 512 ..
