My speed 3g speed is Limited to 2mbps

It has been 10 days ...... I thought it might be an internal error...... but these guys have really trapped us for sure ...... They have capped it ..... all these days i am noticing

my speed didnt cross 2 mbps .... those who have paid 4200 for 6 months like me ...... WE R TRAPPED

I think its time to face the truth..I called the 3G section today and found out that they have put a restriction of 1Mbps on their networks.I am not sure if this is permanent or not.
If it is permanent,then they have made us big time idiots..By this time,they would have got enough customers with 4200rs plan and no one can move out of it.

Never thought BSNL would be so crooked.The browsing was hell before and now no need to mention only.The dream of browsing and downloading is gone.Whats the point of having 3G now?They have been too good at putting restrictions and not giving good service.

i am also in 4200rs plan i am also facing same problem they capped me on 1.30mbps for last 15 days no improvement.now what to do ?

It seems not all connections are capped at the same speed. In my other 3G SIM the connection is capped at 2Mbps Down and 1Mbps Up. Looks like its based on some past usage... :wall:

Its not based on the previous usage at all.They have capped the speed at 2Mbps all over India due to the increasing downloads.God only knows when they are going to bring it back to 1Mbps.So this is final I guess!After posting this found that for the next 2 months I will be capped at 1Mbps..WTF man!#@Someone post their capped speeds here.

BSNL is acting really weird these days. Either they really meant to provide UL on 3g and then chickened out when ppl started using it as wired connection or they seem to have become fanboy of Airtel and are following their footsteps. Maybe i guess they saw that airtel has been cheating cust for a while and still they r going strong so why not do as airtel do. I hope airtel jumps off a cliff and bsnl follows them grrr

GUYS WAIT FOR THE SURPRISE PACKAGE . HAD A FRANK TALK WITH A BSNL JUNIOR GRADE OFFICER AND WAS SURPRISED WITH WHAT HE SHOWED ME AND EXPLAINED TO M E. ALL 3G UNLIMITED PLANS PHASED OUT FOR THE TIME BEING BY BSNL TO REDUCE CUSTOMERS PROBABLY FOR NEXT 2 MONTHS STARTING WITH KERALA AND WILL CONTINUE WITH SOUTH ZONE ( KERALA, KARNATAKA,ANDRAPRADESH,TAMILNADU,PUDUCHERRY) FROM FEB 18 2011 ONWARDS. HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE SPEED IS CAPPED TO 1Mbps or 1024kbps DOWNLOAD AND 512kbps UPLOAD.THE SPEED IS NOT CAPPED ON THE TOWERS BECAUSE THEY ARE 14.4 MBPS ENABLED BUT THE SPEED IS CAPPED AT THE SERVER END . THIS HE SAID IS ACCORDING TO TRAI DIRECTIVE. HE TOLD ME THAT THIS PROBLEM IS BEING ACTIVELY TAKEN UP BY THEIR RESPECTIVE UNIONS WITH BSNL BOSSES IN DELHI .THIS CAPPING ACTUALLY AMOUNTS TO CHEATING THE PUBLIC BECAUSE 3G SPEED MEANS MINIMUM OF 3.1 mbps. HE ACTUALLY ENCOURAGED ME TO START A SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN OR START WORD OF MOUTH CAMPAIGN SO THAT BSNL CUSTOMERS COME OUT IN OPEN PROTEST AGAINST THIS CHEATING. ACCORDING TO HIM THE CAPPING IS ONLY HAPPENING IN THE SOUTH ZONE AND NOT HAPPENING IN ANY OTHER REGION OF INDIA. SO I WELCOME SUGGESTIONS ON THE MODE OF CAMPAIGN TO BE ADOPTED BY US O THAT WE WIN BACK OUR RIGHTS AS PROMISED BY BSNL AT THE TIME OF LAUNCH OF DATA PLANS.ONLY IF WE PROTEST WE WILL WIN BACK OUR RIGHTS . you r wrong because in maharastra i am also getting 1.2mbps for last 1 month. all custmer of un4200 plan getting this speed all over india .
