1) Who the duck calls themselves Vodafone Idea. Who ever thought this is a great idea. It is just poor marketing. And the vi website is AIDS compared to others.

When I was a kid, I always wanted a Vodaphone idea sim because of their advertisements during cricket matches which had a pug and this message that they are building towers and improving range faster than anyone.

Vodafone is a multinational brand. The vodafone vibe wasn't replicated in India.

The entire UI of Vi is horrible.

Whoever is behind it should be fired.

2) Airtel has free callertunes, Jio has the same. Vi does not. That is a major drawback because personally I just like the default tone but many people like callertune and the Vi callertune app and settings are horrible with horrible ui/app

3) This is a major problem for years now. Stop switching my network from 4g to 3g all the time. It is okay for me if 4g is only one bar.

4) Give volte and Wifi calling across the board.

People are dumping Vi because in many areas, even calling is terrible due to lack of volte or wifi calling.

Don't know about others and you bro but...
Right now at the same time & at the same place in my house -

Jio 2300+2300 (20Mhz+20Mhz) -

Vi 2100+1800 (15 MHz + 10 MHz)

First of all just looking at the speeds 😂...
Also the latency and loaded latencies of Jio vs Vi...
Jio's upload latency is 4.2 Seconds 😂😂😂
Vi 2G gives better results...

And now about caller tunes...
I agree Jio/Airtel gives free caller tunes....

But they don't offer Binge all night (12-6) unlimited data
2 GB data extra each month to use for free
Weekend data rollover...
Can't comment much on caller tunes as I never used it and personally hate it. Might be useful for others.

As Vi only has 2G & 4G In our circle (speeds shared above). I never faced any problem regarding that.
In fact for me it switches to 4G+ & 4G which I posted today on a thread. Good for battery health.

Don't know about other circles but VoLTE & VoWifi works like charm to me.
Airtel's VoWifi drops in airplane mode whereas Vi never drops.
Many times Airtel says my number is switched off when Wifi calling is clearly visible in airplane mode.
Jio wifi calling doesn't work in airplane mode and also without airplane mode it doesn't work when I'm connected to any other router except main excitel's router.

In conclusion...
Airtel fluctuates too much...
Jio is terrible terrible (results shared above)
BSNL is fine 3-4 Mbps on 3G can't complain...
And considering my threads and above Speedtest shared about Vi network... I don't think I need to say anything else.

No operator is perfect... Jio is trash here but might be the best in your locality.
Just shared my review.
I have exhausted my Airtel data else would have shared it's results too...

Last but not least...
My philosophy is to stick with the operator if they are giving you the best service.
Vi is the oldest member of our family since being my dad's first sim from Hutch Max being merged to Vodafone then Vodafone being merged with Idea.

I agree I got my personal Vi sim 2 years ago when I turned 18. But since then haven't thought neither ever will choose any other operator. Until and unless it's necessity due to company being shut down or anything. Which I highly doubt will happen...

VI is shit in kerala constantly change from 4g to 2g, high latency, no 4g+ in 80% of the towers I wish idea merged with Airtel instead of vodafone

I had Vi postpaid in Mumbai circle. The Internet would stop working because of sky-high packet loss whenever I accepted incoming calls, even though it stayed latched to a 4G network for the entire call duration. I raised multiple complaints, but all my efforts went in vain. I finally ported out.

Bro,

Vi is performing well in speed test in some areas because there is not many people in their network.

Imagine there is a road and there is no traffic. You can drive fast.

@itachi Yeah might be...
I agree bro
But even at peak hours it's always around 60 Mbps.
At daytime it's around 75-80 Mbps
At night it goes up to 124 Mbps
Whereas Jio goes up to 50 Mbps at night
Airtel is good in this regard around 100 Mbps at night

By Night I'm referring to 2-3 AM 😂

Whatever the case is... They are giving superior services in Rajasthan.
This could be due to Vodafone's leading circle was Rajasthan.
I still remember the days when Vodafone launched 4G in India and the first city they covered was Jaipur, Rajasthan which is my city.
