i had similar weird experiences.
few days back i logged into the portal and tried to change the password. It showed username of some other account on the change password page.
i logged in again and was able to change dataone broadband and portal passwords for my account.
Since then, most of the times i get the "Invalid user name or password" error on portal login. It works randomly sometimes. :wall:

I am having H500 for past six or so months. I got the portal-id few months ago. (YES, about 4 months after I got my connection) I kept both the the passwords ( broadband pass & portal-id pass ) as 'password', but changed them last week.
Since then, sometimes when I try to log-in using the new password, it gives error as "Invalid user name or password" even though I enter correct portal-id & password. Has anyone else here experienced such a problem?
Second, a funny thing happened yesterday, when I logged-in with my portal-id and the new password, the server displayed the page with details of some other gentleman's account - someone living in Karnataka !!! and when I logged-out and logged-in again, it again showed my own statistics ! (Thank god) Has anyone experienced THIS ?
Also, I got bills of Jan 08, Feb 08 and Mar 08 of 105000, 60000 and 40000 respectively which were modified and I got the corrected bills of around 1000 / month in this month i.e. May 08 (YES, even the Jan 08 bill)
This problem occured because they mistakenly fed the server with my plan as H250 instead of H500 and they counted my NU usage in day-time and as I downloaded so much in Jan/Feb/Mar, I got these huge bills....
So, in all I had had my share of BSNL's all-kinds-of-experiences....
still I am satisfied with the speed that i get and the amount of stuff that I can DL in each month....
but I hope these types of things don't happen to me in future........
