Lancer will look better on the roads. If CNG refilling station is near you then I don't see a problem. In the end you'll be saving up a lot, A LOT.

I know, it would be saving me a lot, heck lot!

ford would give me 10 km Per liter i.e 67.42 INR

If I go to Ambiance Mall on a normal day, the up down distance is 48 km say, 55 km

So, I would spend approx Rs 500 per visit :blink3:

that's something that you would only find out when you buy your first car. owning a car is an expensive headache.

You're buying car. Choti moti chizon ki aadat daal lo bhaisahab.

Within 4 months of buying a brand new SX4 AT, i had installed the CNG kit (closed loop). it has been 1.5 years so far running on CNG.No problems so far if you do monthly tuning of the CNG kit (hardly 10-20 mins). but the savings are mind blowing

so u lost warranty deliberately??? and AT means automatic i think??what is the loss of average on automatic??? and its worth the extra money???? and is hassle free??? even on cng???

Yes, i lost warranty deliberately, as it is waaranty is only against manufacturing defects and not due to wear and tear even within the warranty period.AT is Automatic and it does gives less mileage than MT cars especially in city conditions. It is pretty hassle free as there is no gear to manoeuvre or clutch to operate. In my case i had gone for AT option for my Mrs as she drives more than me and she didn't wanted to drive a MT version

if u install lambda kit and timing sensor ..........i think ur monthly visits to get cng kit tuned will be over too:D

It has a timing sensor, but for my peace of mind i regularly get it tuned. Sequential kits almost maintenance free, but they are damn expensive more than twice the cost of non-sequential ones

I guess it makes sense if you drive quite a lot as CNG would give you 14-16km average, the sequential kits are expensive ofcourse and you need a professional to get things working all fine, but CNG is cheap Rs 2/KM so yeah, depends on your needs I guess.
