CNG gives 30 % more mileage than petrol.Yes Rs 2/KM on a sedan car is quite cheap, cheaper than a rickshaw :DOnly thing i hate is long queues for CNG filling and storage limitations of a CNG cylinder

that's why i prefer diesel. costs are slightly higher. but performance on the highways makes up for it.

well for someone like me who has driven his car for 27K in 3.5 years, a petrol car would have been the most sensible decision. but that's me. diesel costs around 2.5-3 bucks per kilometer. the conveniences are definitely worth it.

i just would have to buy a 2nd hand car and instal cng from day 1 ............cant afford new:-(

second hand cars are not a bad choice. our market makes it look like it. i mean american auto market is mostly about second hand cars. very few people buy new ones. i wish the second hand car market in india was as mature. and of course, we had lease option available to consumers (corporate customers have options already). i mean i would love to lease a car paying a premium price but have to option to replace it in a year. i mean cars value degrade so much these days that it is cheaper to pay 1L per year as lease on a premium car that you would not otherwise buy.

If you want to install sequential kit on a car it normally costs around 70-80k So, if you are getting a second hand car from a good source it makes sense, otherwise risk factor is quite a lot, as I believe CNG demands maintenance as well and engine compatibility and stuffSometimes it affects your driving experience as you are adding components to your car :D

i am thinking of getting a honda and install a 2 cng cylinder 1 big 1 small to give me 200 km running in 1 fill...........i will also have some space left for baggage

with 1 big 14 kg cylinder and one 5 kg one will cost 45 k in sequential..........i believe

even honda is charging 50 k for their cng which they fit in new honda................how the hell u came with 70 k price???

Sequential does costs between 70k-80k.Does honda installs sequential for 50k in new cars?
