Need help on RAM

I am using desktop and currently having DDR2 1 GB RAM. i would like suggestion on below mentioned.


1.Can i upgrade from DDR2 1GB RAM to DDR 3 2GB RAM ?
2. Isit only possible to upgrade from DDR2 TO DD2 only or DDR 3 is possible


Please suggest on the above and let me know the best Brand for RAM currently.

well you cant upgrade to DDR3 on you current hardware configuration, you can just stick to DDR2. Corsair is the best brand I dont know whether they manufacture DDR2 rams, you can go with kingston or transcend too

Thanks dude yes corsair does manufacture ddr2 2gb. some suggested transcend better in terms of performance.

Have a look at zion rams too, they use grade a memory chips in their ram sticks.
