Again down since 12:24 AM after the first usual nightly reset (two resets happen between 12 - 1 AM and as per BSNL its done by the system for updating the CDR). It intermittently connects and just stays connected for 1.5 minutes and disconnects again, but no real data comes back.

Code:

This is the connection log, but most times, it's just times out when trying to start the PPP session. The 20:D8:0B:D4:8D:F4 device is the PPP authentication server on BSNL's side. I wonder if its some maintenance activity? 🤔

Called the local exchange, and apparently there is some equipment failure or maintenance activity and they are working on fixing it. I was told it's down for everyone in the area and should be resolved soon (I'm guessing couple of hours or maybe EOD)

Not sure if it's affecting everyone in Ernakulam or just Perumbavoor area.

@arunkadambanattu @abbyck Any issues for you?

@varkey Yes, there was an outage. I thought this was a regular power failure disconnection from their end due to rains. Around 12 connection turned up.

Edit: It seems like my upload and ping issues are solved as of now. :)

@varkey. Another ISP name shows on bsnl and that is 'Satya Ratna Agencies' and ip starts with 103.XXX. Ip location shows Visakhapatnam and ping time bit high. Speed not crossing 88 to 90Mbps. I think something went wrong

Interesting, yes even I started getting IP addresses from that range sometime in the last 2-3 days.

Unfortunately I couldn't test it first hand, I only have remote access at the moment as I'm not in Kerala. I'll try to run some tests the next time I get allocated an IP address from that range and report back.
