New BSNL Broadband plans from December 2018 with daily fair usage data limits

Gave a request to change my plan to 699 (CS 243) which offers 700 GB at 20 MBPS. Surprising thing was self care had the plan updated and i could give the request through self care itself. Saved me a trip to the BSNL office.

To be fair the plan and benefits are still cheaper than competition so I'm fine with it.

Please note this plan is only available for Chennai.

499 plan offers 8mbps upto 25Gb, after which it slows to 1mbps. The Happy Browsing offer (Free FUP upgrade) which BSNL offered before has also ended.

You are lucky....but tell everyone to join the movement by tweeting at #bb249 today Dept of Telecommunication has forward the tweet to the respective Dept for action. I hope it will work.

someone tell him that 8mbps is not high speed in todays day and age, especially with ACT/excitel and airtel. maybe 10 years ago it was high speed

Lol got a call from BSNL regarding my tweet. But he kept on saying it was a promotional offer so they discontinued happy browsing and changed 249 plan. Literally these people are too hard to argue.
