Why not? Would definitely recommend. I believe they will force you to do an FD though.
Hence better to go with another bank like ICICI atleast they deal with your money in a better way and get a credit card from ICICI itself
 
For beginners open account with hdfc, save some money and wait for pre approved cc offer. If you are a salaried person getting cc is not hard without any cibil score.

With fd based card your limit will be low, usage ratio high and getting card on C2C basis will be difficult/not possible because of low limit and secured card reported in cibil. So in short term your cibil score will be not great to get you other cc.

Most important thing is to have a job and income source. Banks don't like self employed people, requirements will be high compared to salaried person
 
Just maintain 50k (higher the better) or above in HDFC or ICICI savings account for 6 months or above and they'll offer you a credit card.
 
I think they do, but their eligibility requirements are tougher I suppose - also people prefer Visa over Amex based on usability as well.
 
But AMEX offers fantastic customer protection. It's near to impossible to save a chargeback as a merchant.

I will wait for 2-3 days for the resolution. If I don't hear from them and fail to get any response from Airtel and One card. I will present this matter to NCH.
Even after raising the grievance with NCH, Airtel said the same thing - they don't have any details of the transaction.

Now trying to raise a dispute with One card, but after 12 days of around 20-25 emails, they are just declining the request saying the Merchant they can see is Paytm and I have used 3rd Party app for which they can not raise the dispute. But I swear I used the Airtel thanks app and I used the card from their saved cards section. The person who is handling the dispute is the stupidest person I have ever talked with. Trying to ask for a callback for the last 4 days. Still, no callback, and now the customer care team also disconnects the call on me. @Samuel You can easily have an idea now how will they handle the dispute in case of any mishaps.
