Packet Loss and Slow Speed Problems on Airtel Broadband

Hi AllI have got the Beetel 450 BXI ADSL2+Wireless Router. I have a 2 Mbps PlanMy normal download speed for any file from link-removed / Microsoft is around 165-170 Kbps, which itself is slow. I used to get 225 - 250 Kbps. This is another issue which I getting resolvedMy Bit Torrent speed is maximum 23-25 Kbps. I have switched recently from Beetel 100CX (which was USB, and I used to get > 200 Kbps) to this modem (which is LAN). I dont see any advanced option to configure Port Forwarding in 450 BXi. I think i read somewhere slow speeds can be resolved using port forwarding. Can anyone help here. I dont see this modem on Beetel website also, and cant find a manual. Neither does the Airtel Guy know anything about it.I also switched my plan from 2Mbps to 512 Kbps for one month, and back to 2Mbps now. Thanks

http://192.168.1.1/html/index1.html I'd also like a step by step guide for forwarding a port for utorrent. I've tried forwarding the required ports, but utorrent still has the yellow status bar the bottom.

some routers do not have port forwarding option.. try looking for something called NAT-DMZ.. and enter your computer ip address there@Humanoid probably some firewall in your computer is blocking the port

read this and change your settings according to it i think this will help you out. after changing the settings my download speeds are normal,

Update
I have been able to port forwarding using http://192.168.1.1/main.html

But I still get same speeds

I havent done DMZ, have disabled firewall on the router. Have patched the TCP connections as well.
Have diabled UPnP on Bittorrent as well as uTorrent. Both give me same speeds.

Please help me!!!

are you sure?? cause main.html normally is your homepage.. you can confirm whether your port has been successfully forwarded by going here http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/port-scanner/ .. i hope you have opened the ports in your firewall as well.

For last 3-4 days speed decline considerably after 1pm (keep getting betwen 128-256) and it get restored only after 5-6 pm ... Is this problem just for me or if anyone else is also facing such a problem ...

There is no speed problem here in gurgaon.constantly getting 270kbps on 256unltd.Call tech support when the speed is down so that they can check it out for you.
