he wants you to post your Status page in your modem.go to http://192.168.1.1 .. there under status you might find an option called ADSL.click there.. and take a screenshot of it and paste it here..
Under your WAN settings.. you should see GDMT as a checkbox option i think.. check it if unchecked..

Call Airtel CC everyday and ask them to solve the problem.Eventually,it will get resolved..:P

i have this problem for last two weeks. i have just installed XP yesterday night. but my problem is not clear. i called the CC many time they sent service engineer but my problem is not clear. pls friends help me. i have NORTON 2007.

@members/venkatpathy03/ try again @nack's suggestion and after nagging Airtel daily, they may replace the modem/ line and solve your problem )
 
i don't think it could be a virus or a line problem it is some thing to do with there server. Call the CC if your download goes below to your specified speed.and also try once Speed on Demand to check your speed capability.
 
mtnl gives me pinggoogle.co.in - 56 msgoogle.com - 200yahoo.com - 150yahoo.co.in - 56
 


Pings on MTNL tribandGoogle.com = 268msYahoo.com = 268msBroadbandforum.in = 320msSeems that MTNL ping rates r quite okay
 
yup, it helps me while i play multiplayer games. I get 188 - 250 ms ping to server1.enesce.com. The server on which i play most, the game called Soldat.
 
MTNL pings are quite ok here is my result using MTNL : google.com 12ms yahoo.com 162 ms broadbandforum.co 260ms
