It's mostly about not caring. Most people in the general populace don't have as much interest in tech stuff as some of us might.

Apple is asking the court to add newer Samsung Galaxy hardware, including the Galaxy S III, Verizon Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 10.1 to its complaint against the Galaxy Nexus and other related devices.

The headliner patents at issue are '721 which covers slide to unlock, and '604, which could apply to the universal search feature Samsung has been pulling from its phones recently. Another familiar entry is the '647 patent Apple slapped HTC with in 2010, which has a vague description but applies to clicking on a phone number in an email, for example, to call it.

htc has already said that they have no plans to sign a deal with Apple. so they are preparing to fight it out in courts. and i do not see moto doing the same. that would mean google accepting that they infringed on apple patents. would not look good from any angle. considering google is not really bothered about motorola's market position, i do not see a deal happening between google and apple. they are shutting down global offices to streamline its operation. i do not see them focusing on sales and market share when it comes to motorola mobility.

If Apple is doing this than sure USA will be fall in technology about a decade.IF android base all product ban in USA, It's loss for US citizen.

No one can stop android from grow and capture market share. i am just saying this because people are willing to purchase Android Tab from non popular brand also.

Since when did Samsung become Android??? & Since when do we care what really happens in the US mobile space & looses to the US citizen... If US citizens have something to worry about in the mobile sector, its their shitty contract system which gives them a cheap phone upfront & makes them pay 3-4 times the amt they should have paid for a 2 year service due to the contract bindings... Anyway there are more companies in the Android space which are making much better products although they dont seems as popular as Samsung due to Samsung Fanboisim...

lol yeah. folks in usa are shocked to hear prices of phones in europe. for example, Galaxy note 2 selling for around 850 dollars in europe. it is what we would be paying for this phone here in india as well. usa would probably get it for USD 199 with a two year long contract.

Ya but the amt of money u overpay during the 2yr contract is just stupid... I mean u can just get a cheap prepaid plan with Data & buy the phone on EMIs & it would still be much cheaper... Costumers in the US though are either not bothered by this or just dont care...

BTW the statement I said about Google & Apple talking about patent sharing isnt something I pulled out of thin air... Its based on several news reports I read over the past couple of days... Like this one Exclusive: Google, Apple CEOs in secret patent talks | Reuters
