you should go for NVidia cards
[/b]

can you tell the available RAM

actual my MBoard type is Intel 4 D915GAV

I have a PCI express ATI Radeon Saphire X1600 Pro. Though Nvidia as a brand is better than ATI. But this particular series defeat the cards presented by nvidia on many technical levels. The Geforce 6600 GT is one of the highly sucessful cards of the Nvidia Class with 128 Mb memory with a price of around 8000-9000/- bucks. In its competition ATI Radeon Saphire X1600 Pro comes around in the same price bracket and has a faster engine with both Open GL and Direct X support with a memory of 256 MB DDR2.Though i just had this card aquired and i am still testing its potential ,i still did'nt face any problems yet. But though if you are not a risk taker kinda guy then i would suggest you go for something from Nvidia's family as they are stable and less hassle free to set. Enjoy!

oh come on,dont be such fanboys :P In graphic market, both nvidia and ati are equally matched. In india nvidia has better marketing, distribution.Things that concern we customers are cost, performance, reliablity, service.i think there will be a serious difference only in the fourth point.so if i were you,i would get one that gives best performance (for the budget) .

Best wuld be a BFG card if u can import it. in india XFX offers economy and a decent performance. For performance u can hav Asus or MSI cards.. and the best chipset at present wuld be the Geforce 7 series cards.

Well to be very precise if you have ample money....the Nvidia 7800 GTX is the card for you. If you have ample money and in no hurry then wait out the product line that is soon to be launched by AMD. God knows what those guyz are gonna launch after they bought ATI out.

nVidia GeForce 7800GTX is a old card and anow has been replaced by GF7950GX2 1GB; I recommend You buy a XFX GeForce 7600GS 256MB DDR2 Xtreme Edition, It offers excellent back for the buck; it retails for Rs.7,500 w/ 3 Years Warranty. You can get it from Rashi Peripherals (www.rptechindia.com) Hope This Helps.

I have 845 based intel motherboard , which PCI video card would u recomend for me . Looking for a ATI one ,but open to any cardMy friend has a mercury intel 845 chipset based motherboard , will this support ATI Raedon 9200 AGP acrd?Jay

Does your motherboard have an AGP Slot? If not then youc ertainly won't be able to install an AGP Card. don't bother searching for a PCI card, they died ages ago and it's nearly impossible to get hold of one.
