My first suggestion was to get the Moto G. But the person is not so tech-savvy, and wants some 4-5 options to choose from including atleast one Windows one. As other factors like looks may also make a difference (Even the OS feel). "Brand" is not a must but another one option in that category would be nice.
Budget is 10K. Maybe 1k more. Thats another reason why Moto G is sort of kept as "will be considered" than a sure shot by him.

Even Indo-Chinese brands are better than samsung! My cousin who is a samsung hater was very angry with me n it was my fault as i didn't ask his recommendation(hes quite good when it comes to mobile phones) He bought Xperia U a week after i got my phone.. N i was jealous by seeing his device performing better than mine though i reacted as if my phone was better lol 
After 1.5years of crappy experience with samsung i don't recommend this shit brand to anyone n better stay away
