Planning to take bsnl airfiber franchise

I am planning to take bsnl airfiber franchise at my place. Right now we don't have any network providers at my location.

So I started to think about it and contacted bsnl. BSNL will be giving space and powe but we need all other equipment for transmission.

The equipment BSNL suggest costs around 75000.

It would be hard for me to get 10 customer in next 3 months. I am thinking if you can suggest cheap alternative network design/devices.

I am thinking of one sector antenna instead of 3 which reduces cost drastically. I know one person used to run network with just power beam and airgrids. Can someone suggest me cheap alternatives please? I am not trying to earn profit , I am just trying to provide connectivity 15 coastal border villages to help the children connect to online classes etc.

I don't need any profit I just need network up and give a chance people to able to use it

What is the list of equipment ? For some, a cheaper replacement might be possible.

Can you post the contract BSNL shared with you? Depending on distance, maybe it's cheaper to just pull up fiber if you can get the permission of your electricity discom to utilize their poles.

How far are the customer houses from each other ?
It's better to pull up fiber as they have suggested. Running Base station equipment is expensive if customers are not in the same direction of the house.
Also expansion is very easy with Fiber for future potential customers.

You can start with Used equipment and save a bit on costs. Most of the time they work totally fine

2. Fiber for 10kms is expensive I feel

GPON can easily span 20 kms even over cheap fiber. If you order fiber in bulk, you might get rates anywhere from 8 - 20 Rs/Mtr for 2 core SM.

As others have pointed out, fiber is much much more future proof.

Wireless uplinks are highly prone to noise, anything from rain to cell tower interference can kill the experience for end users.

CPE for GPON is also cheaper. Rs 1000 for a simple Gigabit ONU. Upgrades are also cheaper, and you can use even use FTTC or FTTB for clustered deployments.

I used to use SXTsq 5 High Power to bridge two pieces of land we owned 2.5kms apart and the avg speed was around 65 Mbps, not to mention connection would drop even in mild rain and thunder.
