@Rajat_Sethi Looking at the model you mentioned, it seems to have similarities with Netlink hg323rw. But I will still wait for Syrotech to release a new firmware for it.
If you are feeling adventurous try it. Who knows either we will get a bricked ONU or a successful inter-compatibility test

While a BSNL person was doing remote checking on my ONU he asked why have you enabled IPv6? I said "It's enabled in Palakkad and Ernakulam. Thought that it will come soon to Kannur". He said, there are some problems with it now. Hence not deployed in Kannur.

The only customer who gets ipv6 in whole india from bsnl isp is @varkey . Its not enabled in palakkad it was enabled and disabled after complaints. Dont know about ernakulam though .

I recommend to reset your ONU and configure it again bcoz of the new firmware upgrade. [ Then only that Netlink logo will appear ]

i did the upgrade directly and the logo appeared . So as of now no issues if update is done directly

so we did this upgrade just to get that logo ?
I hope the logo patches away the vulnerability of this Chinese router
Hackers would be like : Goddarn it this router has got NETLINK logo on it, we shouldnt acess the router.... MISSION ABORT, I REPEAT MISSION ABORT.!!

Finally, after getting back and forth a couple of times, they remoted into my machine through Anydesk and did the update.

Now there is a Netlink logo on top and the version number is also changed.

it is now on Version 1.0.16-191118.
Also the option of TR-069 is also removed(This might be the vulnerability). it is still there
I have got the firmware on my machine. But I don't know the default password. They asked me to change the password immediately after the update.

They also said that another firmware update for BSNL customers is in testing and will inform me when it is ready.

You can successfullly upgrade it. No issues whatsover. But still create a backup of your settings.
