@keithcardozo

1. Most of the times, I am the only user. But sometimes, 2-3 users stream at the same time.

2. & 4. It is a low cost server with 2TB HDD (10$/m) which I am using a seedbox/plex server as well as a backup server. As a standalone plex server, it might not make sense economically but I am using it as a backup server as well.

3. No high bit rate stream. Mostly around 5-6 mbps. My plan bandwidth is sufficient, as I use the weekly plan with 1TB data but uplink will be the bottleneck when multiple users stream at the same time.

Thanks Lucifer
I'm still trying to understand
1. Would not a raspberry PI server at a one time cost of $35 be a better option for you ? you can connect a USB HDD to it have have all your backups taken place there automatically or is there something specific in your backup. (the Raspberry Pi barely consumes 1-2W when idle and is as small as a credit card)

2. If its not a high bit rate stream and only around 5-6 mbps, You know that in Plex settings you can tell it to autodetect the bandwidth and it will auto convert the file to a a bit rate of your choice, this way you will will be within the upload limit of 10Mbps of Jio (if you host it on the raspberry pi)

3. 10$ a month is not a bit too steep financially if the other option does work ?

@lucifer ,
Thanks Since i have not used a seedbox , it seems interesting.
So you have lots of files that you download on the seedbox via p2p first at high speeds and then download to your home pc at around 100 Mbps
Or you keep the files there like video files and stream it via plex?
But why not just directly download since you have high speeds and change to the Gold plan which will give you over 1TB .
Sorry again just curious

1TB of Gold Plan is just not enough. My database server backup runs every 30 min. Daily backup itself consumes well over 150 GB/day. And seedbox/plex usage makes the daily figure close to 500GB/day.

Poor download speed from some international servers during peak hour has become a regular feature of Jio Fiber now. 500 kBps from a 100 mbps connection is total sh*t. This is happening even when JioFiber has a very small user base. JioFiber has gone down the gutter sooner than Jio 4G.
