Basically you ported for 3g signals, which is low in both vodafone n airtel at your place. Better to try using a new test sim from reliance. I have hrd they improved their 3g a lot in last few months

Lol. Vodafone is better here. I was able to get at least 2/3 bars. But in Airtel I don't even get half a bar...

You are lucky I got my number ported to Airtel and now I am not even getting enough 2G signals to make/receive calls.
I complained it and I have been told that my house is in a weak coverage area and they have no estimate about the time in which this problem will be fixed.
