Printer for home usage

Hi,

I am looking to buy a Printer for home-usage. Any suggestion considering the following points is appreciated.
The expected usage is very less. might be one or two times a month (10 pages). Sometimes, it won't even be used for months. So I am expecting something in which the ink doesn't dry. After some of my research I am looking for these features:

1. Document scanning
2. Auto duplex printing
3. Auto Paper Feeder
4. Less frequent ink change (should not dry in case of long term non-usage)

If there is any other considerable feature that I am missing, please let me know.

Yes. One flip. If you do odd and even printing seperately. but had to open the tray for that.

Is the print head fixed or removable in this printer? If removable then whats the cost

For limited use, Laser printer is always best as there is no problem of ink drying.
I am using HP Laserjet Pro M126nw Multi-Function Wireless Network printer for last 5 years.

Easy to configure on wifi and works will all laptops and android devices at my home. Uses 88A cartridge which is easy to obtain, including compatible ones.
Only limitation is there is no auto duplex.

Out of curiosity @pachabhut how often are we talking about here? Say My printing needs are maybe a sheet every month or so, average. I feel I can’t justify the cost of a printer, even the cheapest one, over its lifetime.
So how often is the use case for people who actually own printers?

Its a MFP. So its used for printing and photocopy purposes as well as scanning. It is very useful for printing flight boarding passes late at night. Also, some printing requirements for school assignments. Say around 20-30 pages a month. But for last two years, due to online schooling, it has increased to about 50-60 pages a month and lots and lots of scanning. Particularly, during full lockdown, when everything was closed, it was very useful.

i can confirm the same. i have spent way too much money on printers and they are definitely not worth that money in my case. i do not travel on planes that i might need to take an urgent printout of a plane ticket at ungodly hours. though a friend used to misuse my choice of having printer at home at ungodly hours till few months ago and eventually i had to tell him to sod off. i even offered to give him my functioning dumped HP which he can keep at his place and take prints whenever he requires but he refused. anyhow.

it's just nice to have the option to take photocopies and prints at home. and my experience with hp has been so bad previously that i tend to keep a backup as well at my place. this is why i have had two printers at home for the last couple of years. i have had extremely horrible luck with hp inkjets despite never using refills in them. maybe it's dust. maybe it's just bad luck. thankfully, the HPs i recommended to friends and family have been working fine.

i eventually dumped my barely two year old sort of expensive HP 5275 few months ago and bought a brother after seeing glorified user experiences on reddit. and then i ended up buying another brother to replace my aging ricoh laser whose refills no longer seem to be available online. can this be avoided? yes. do i think about it often? no. but i do hope that my current two brothers now safely enclosed in plastic covers to keep dust out would last me for more than a year or two so that i do not have to buy another damn printer.

Brother printer hl l2351dw seems to have disappeared from sites & stores. Maybe I should have moved faster

Get the base Brother Laser. HL-L2321D is without wireless support. HL-L2351DW is with wireless printing. Both have duplex printing as well.

After many tries & being out of stock or going out of stock like in a flash sales, I finally got the Brother HL L2351DW. Could not get it on Amazon. I got it on Flipkart. Like lasts years hair clipper story of shortages & high prices, it's the same story with Brother printer. Croma displays it on their website but moment o log in, it shows out of stock. Their reply on Twitter was they don't have it stock. Tatacliq had it on & off but I have a problem with my login. In trying to solve it they have inadvertently blocked me though a senior person on their Twitter team is trying to help me. Their IT dept has screwed big time.
Connected to the PC via USB cable it works well in manual feed mode as well as the other option where you store papers. In wifi mode it seems to work only manual feed mode!!! I have to see what I did wrong.
For others who are dithering on purchases of electronic goods,remember that prices are going up in leaps & bounds.
