I've been using Tata Play Fiber as a backup to my Airtel connection since last 15-20 days. 100 Mbps plan. It is working fine for the most part although there are occasional speed drops sometimes which is not the case with Airtel(which completely goes down).
Uptime has been very good, definitely better than Airtel. I've been their customer before June 2023 for over 1.5 years and it hardly went down.
I will test it for 4-5 months atleast before making it my primary connection. Not facing any site blocking issues or loading issues even with dual stack IP. I have put the Nokia ONT in bridge mode and paired it with Mi 4A Gigabit router which works fine for a backup connection.
When it comes to browsing and gaming experience, I feel Airtel is slightly better. Everything just loads faster on Airtel and pings are slightly better although it doesn't make much of a difference. I think it has something to do with CG-NAT, not sure tho.
PPPoE resets after 3-ish days while it lasts over 15-20 days in Airtel, something to note.
EDIT: Airtel's PPPoE also resets after 72 hours now after the recent updates they have made at backend.
