RBI implement restrictions on Paytm Payments Bank for non compliance of regulations

Paytm has the best and simple to use UI , would agree with sushubh regarding PhonePe messy UI but here out of 10 people 7 would use phone pe As far as I can see in my paytm merchant ac.

I use Google Pay only for rewards those were really rewarding days.

Amazon Need to create a separate app for their wallet and upi their app is too slow.

While it is plagued with, "persistent noncompliance and continued material supervisory concerns". What exactly did Paytm do?

The last statement about margin loans and shares pledging seems sus.

After I faced KYC issue with Paytm wallet (KYC was not updating), and I had to pay twice (almost Rs 500 extra) at Tolls, I immediately removed PayTM Fastag and installed HDFC's. As I have Savings account at HDFC, KYC status was automatically showing as "Full KYC" for HDFC Fastag. Later I deleted all UPI IDs, cards and addresses and deleted PayTM App :D
I had requested PayTM support to delete my account, but even after 2 months it was active when I logged in from web browser. I stopped login thinking that login might be keeping account active :)

My main UPI App is Google Pay and I have never faced any issue in last 1 year. Backup is Samsung Pay.
I tried PhonePe, but UI was very less intuitive to process, so stopped using that. And as mentioned many of them, Amazon UI is very laggy, so its there but only used while shopping in Amazon App.

Is this the ā€œUltimate Benificiaryā€ hiding by Paytm where they do not want to disclose their Chinese overlords? The only thing I had read repeatedly was major Chinese investment in Paytm.

Otherwise these sudden sanctions don’t really compute with me.
