i am quite happy with realme, coz replacements are cheap and it does the job.
how long does a normal brush head last? do you find any notable difference in your oral hygiene after using electrical toothbrushes?

I read somewhere electrical toothbrushes are better for oral hygiene as they can remove plaque more efficiently. That is why I am looking for it as I have bleeding gums issue due to poor dental hygiene.

realme does not say anything from what i checked from the product listing. regular brush heads have a few blue bristles that lose color with time and they suggest you to replace them when color has faded enough. mine are around 30% gone after a month of usage so i am guessing three months should be fine. but i would probably change them next month (after two months of usage). this is basically personal preference. if you think the brush head is working fine, use them. if you think they are getting harder to use, replace them.

if you suffer from bleeding gums, i can recommend using electric toothbrush. they are not very pricey these days. realme has fantastic battery life. the indicator is still green after more than a month of usage. realme claims 90 days of battery life with twice a day usage at soft setting.

there are tons of models. caresmith has a model that is priced under Rs. 800. definitely worth trying. best part is that if you don't like it, someone else in your family can start using it with a fresh brush head.

so the brush finally showed orange light today. which still means it has 20-40% battery as per the manual. recharging in any case. i got the unit on september 12 it seems and i recharged it fully that day itself. though i am only using it once a day instead of recommended two.

So you effectively got about 100mins of usage with 20-40% battery left. So you about 150mins of usage on full charge. Equivalent to about 30 days of use, twice a day.

i do end up using it for more than 2 minutes a lot of times. and i rarely use it on soft setting which is the parameter of official battery life rating. even then charging every 40-45 days is seriously not bad from any angle.

Yea, true. I have Oral-B and it need charging about every 12-14 days on daily once a day usage.

Never measured actually, I just put it on its stand whenever the battery light glows and pick it up in the evening.
