I have not been able to make out why Tata Sky does not include S B I and ICICI banks in their list of Banks to facilitate payment of subscription. Several other organizations like BSNL and MSEB accept payments through Bank Accounts through Net-banking, TataSky wants only a Credit card or Debit card Account. And even there, S B I and ICICI are not included. Also to register with My TatSky, a mobile number is essential. I do not use mobile. Why can't the land-line number be adequate for registering at TataSky? P. Jayant

Come on now. I don't have to list the benefits of Net-banking here. Millions of electronic payments would not have taken place every day, if it was not more convenient both to the customer and the receiver, than getting recharge vouchers.I don't want to waste my time getting the recharge voucher either by driving upto some agent or asking him to deliver it at my place, at his convenience.I can pay through net-banking, whenever I am at my PC. Besides, I have the exact record of payments made in my system and don't have to keep a collection of recharge vouchers. P. jayant

I have talked about net-banking using a computer. I do not use a mobile and hence do not know about SMS banking. So I would not be able to comment on which mobile operator facilitates payment transactions and how one has to use them. P. Jayant
