My 1 month recharged subscription got over almost 10 days ago but still they didnt stop showing channels :dance:I am enjoying free viewing without recharging!!!:yahoo:

Don't be euphoric; you may get a very fat bill one day followed by disconnection and an impossible-unsolvable situation. Reliance ways are inscrutable!

Good point. We are also in a same country where companies always find a way to get out of tricky situations.

So-- to answer your question (lets assume you are a Rel CCR and telling me on phone)

You have been charged for the period of time you saw TV but didnt pay for that.

I will argue in following ways:
[1] Well, if that happens - its your fault. If you didnt stop showing me channels - what do i do? Its completely and totally your fault. You made a mistake and you have been punished for that. What a consumer has to do with it when you (who is working there) are not doing your job well and not stopping my viewing even after subscription got over... Ey, not my fault buddy. Tell reliance to deduct from your salary because company has to suffer as employee made a mistake.

[2] Ok, give me a proof that i have used it - send me by post, i will review it and will discuss with my family (usually companies say - we will review your letter and discuss with higher management and then they never revert back) - if they call again, "send again, i didnt receive your post/courier"

[3] by the way, this is not something that we have to lose anyway even if we dont pay. They are not having any deposits with them, they are not going to file any complaint because officially its their fault (this is a prepaid service and not a postpaid so they have to disconnect my viewing if my subscritption got over - if they didnt do, then not only me, any person in the world will never lose a chance of free viewing)

Asked if the current economic slowdown would force the company go-slow on expansion, he replied in the negative and said, “Right from day one, we have set ourselves realistic and aggressive targets, that is to achieve 40 per cent of the DTH market by 201 1. We are on track.”

After lots of complaints, i finally got a NEW SET TOP BOX (A NEW VERSION STB)

It is superb. Working extremely better than any older ones. I tried all of them by now and this new version STB is simply rocking. No problem while changing menu (no problem of slow menu changing), no problem while changing channel, no problem in sound and everything works perfectly fine now :yahoo:

Just go for this newer version of STB. Call CC and ask them that you have lots of problems in STB and you want to change it with a same STB as advertised and as shown on website and they will replace it.

Go for this one. This is the real good one. No problem at all. This is what we paid for and not the one they have given us (rubbish test phase STBs).

I am happy with the result now and finally satisfied worth paying money for BIG TV.
 
hey man , are you getting your mini guide 'current event' part updated from time to time when program changes??i have model 2 stb but my current event part in mini guide never gets updated with the current program..it usually hangs at the program which was on air when i first oned the stb..any solutions for this??
 
Yes, that quick mini guide always gets updated. you may try to install software again or call CC and ask them to replace your STB.
 
There is nothing more to add in my "reviews" i have already posted my reviews of Version 2.0 STB alongwith PHOTOS in this thread (See my post of "November 26th, 2008, 03:31 PM").Version 2.0 STB simply rocks. No problem at all. No hanging problem, no slow menu problem, no voice problem - NO PROBLEM - ALL GOOD.
 
I called CC and asked them about new channels. First he said, "we dont have any info yet" I kept asking "when and what channels would be added" He finally said, "2 new channels - Colors and Zee Smile for sure this month" I asked again "when"?He said, "we dont have such information yet but soon will be added" I asked again, "when? by end of this December?" He said, "Thats for sure. You will have at least those 2 channels by end of this December."I asked further but he kept denying to give any info further.
