Reliance Big TV DTH Connection / Brochure Pictures Attached

We have ISRO here (in Ahmedabad - they have a big satellite operation here - Insat 4CR managed by ISRO) and i got to know from inner sources (not officially disclosed) that its gonna launch on Diwali 08 (not even on 15th Aug). Lets see, when they actually launch it.

I think Insat 4CR is to be used for Bharati. Reliance is using Measat. They have already started operations and only commercial launch is needed. I don't know whether Ambani will tell ISRO about this commercial launch.

Good posts but if you increase the picture size and clarity it will be helpful for us. As we can manage to read them. At present contents are not being able to read.

They came and installed.

Its more than expected. I have a "WOW" experience.

I got some work to do. I will post screenshots soon.

Btw, i found that a size of a dish is a bit larger than TS and DISH but its good. That guy said that the size is always bigger a better. I can see it in a result. All channels look superb. Excellent quality and i have an amazing experience watching them on my Sony tv. I never watched channels at this much of crystal clear quality as our cablewala was never be able to give us such result.

Attach is just a picture of that guy who was fitting dish on my terrace. i took that time. i will take more pictures of channel screens later.

The only thing i dislike is a BIG TV logo on top-left corner. Its really annoying. We are not able to see some of the channel logos on left, news ticker on top, cricket score etc etc...I wish they make it a bit smaller and a bit transperant - thats the biggest update i would them to make in their next software updation. They really kept their logo too big. I wish they update soon.

(Look at the signal strength - they got me almost 100% quality - they tried hard and almost for 40-45 minutes. They came with a very small 7Inch LCD TV. They tested it on my terrace and finally got very good signals and they wrapped it up there and got the same on my TV then after) - Superb work! Even we had a bit of rain when they were trying to get signals so i got good signals even rain was going on. (of course not so heavily but it was very cloudy and raining) - so i think, it works in rain too. There is no problem of signal loss or bad quality in monsoon (or in cloudy atmosphere).

BIG TV Movie Channels
(Initially they show same movies everyday)

There are many hindi and english movie channels. They all show same movies everyday and hence i am showing only 2 of them here.


I also noticed their cable. The cable they gave me has written on it as: "Reliance Blue Magic" - so guys, we get a very good quality cable too. They even put their brand on cables! And of course, they planned it as "Blue Magic" so these are still the deadstock they are using. I guess, after commercial launch, they may not like to give a "Blue Magic" cable to their customers. They may give "BIG TV" cable. So they are also trying hard to finish off their existing stock of any hardware they have which is of "Blue Magic" written on it.

Any way, i am having a very good experience overall.

NO - heating problem
NO - STB hang problem
NO - channel browsing problem
NO - signal loss problem
NO - bad quality problem

I think the only thing they now require to do is - software update to get rid of their solid colored logo, to add the rest of the features (such as category menu, reminder etc... - right now they are not appearing in menu).

I guess, it may take few more months for them to work out whatever is still pending on their list.

BUT OTHERWISE - ALL GOOD. FANTASTIC. EXCELLENT. THUMBS UP :thumbsup:

^^ Nice work. Thanks for the pictures. Can you clarify one doubt. I don't see a "BIG TV" logo in your first screenshot which is from StarPlus. So, They don't put logos on all channels?
