hey is Reliance offering Wired connection in Bangalore, around Vijayanagar area. I just called them & booked for 'Wired Connection', kind of liked their Freedom 999 plan & the Customer Care guy assured me that they had service in the area, he shall forward the request to sales team & connection will be provided within 7 days

Hey guys just wanted to update you ppl about what happened.I waited for almost 10days for a connection ... I had the cable already laid and just wanted the device (modem) given and configured . But it seems the engineer is so busy during month ends and actually he is only interested in leased (big) connections. He promised me a connection but never called back n stopped picking up calls lol. And the marketing guy was saying we will give you a connection at end of Feb when they are having free time lol. For a new connection this is the way ..imagine if I had some issue and I give them a call.Instead I called up Asianet guys ... this was before am planning to switch to reliance and I was with them for nearly 10+ years n the manager asked me not to cut /cancell the connection but just go to 99pm plan and try out Reliance for a month.so that I van retain the consumer number.. Since cancellation may devoid me of any future benefits if there is some. (See the way he handled it) So after this bad incident with reliance I called up Asianet again ..so he told me about the new combo offer (digital TV + broadband) they are converting to fully digital anyways in one month time so early birds who takes stb will get double data usage ... in short now I have6gb per month @4mbps for 523rs(475+taxes) and free usage at same speed from 2am to 8am daily additional data charged @ 20paise per MB ..remember no Fup for free hours. Digital Tv I took 150 channel pack for 2600rs (its for full one year)

Usually when there are no ports available in the area, they take the easy route and that is to ignore the new connection requests. When I applied for a connection, there were no free ports available. However, someone in my area had defaulted in their broadband bill payments. I was allocated that port. This is what the guys who came to install the connection at my premises told me.

Yes you are very correct ...but what I understood from the marketting side is ..there are two free ports available.
