Okay got my connection on Monday (28th jan) the installation guy setup the D-Link router (setting up ONT and everything took around 15 mins )which i then replaced with my Netgear R6800 (had to go to 1.254.254.254 to login register a new CPE as i changed my router my internet took 2-3 minutes...

1Gbps has been there for a while in India.
ACT, Spectra, Airtel and now Jio provide it.

any ISP will not do this unless they are low on bandwidth so probably JIO is low on bandwidth with current hardware, they have used all their bandwidth in mobile service

That's good mahn , knew that 1gbps plans existed for spectra, but to suddenly see that speed that took me by surprise.

@Ameen I get close to 63MB/s on LAN on some servers. Ordered a new router, gonna see what I’ll get via wifi

@nigr You're really lucky to get those speeds. I'm on the same plan (Diamond), as you said, can only attain those speeds on LAN.
Which router did you buy ? I've a R7800. Max I can get around 400 mbps via WiFi.
