@tatyasky mmWave needs different component in a phone to work which is also expensive. So even if it comes on phones next year it'll be only on iPhones and Samsung flagships
@tatyasky there's no point in getting a phone from the US for trying to latch onto mmWave in India. If the operators in India don't deem it necessary except in the most densest of places like stadiums or metro trains, you're really not benefiting much.
But if there's a definite cost advantage, it is worth considering it.
iOS 16.2 beta 2 has enabled 5G for both Jio and Airtel on iPhones today. However under Jio’s 5G settings it says “5G Standalone is unavailable due to insufficient sim security”.
Now I don’t know what that means. Mine is eSim so there is no scope for upgrading to a newer one. Lol
