I understand that but what makes me unhappy is the lack of information before hand, Everyone who pre booked jiophone trusted them and they fucked them all, The terms and conditions forcefully bind you to use their service or loose your 1500 rupees, It might not be a big thing for people like you and me but many people who bought this mobile were one who had low income. The price of Mobile and plans are great but the whole scheme is fucked up.

So is it compulsory to return phone after 36 months, even if user is not having any issue with Phone?

yup. you need to return the phone before 39 months according to their TOS. but i have a wild guess they would launch JIO Phone 2/3 at that time & you can exchange old one with the new phone instead of taking back the security deposit.

Only people who bought this phone for time pass thinking its free will be pissed. Others who really needed the phone shouldn't have any problem. Jio is a business not a charity. Their terms and condition shouldn't be a problem for serious users.

@munabhai assume you bought a tv from Amazon which was on sale 50% off you thought you got a great deal but at the time of delivery they will tell hey we changed our terms and now you need buy Amazon Prime membership worth 3x discount price and when your membership expires we will take the tv back.

From loot-to to loot-gaye, this is the situation of free loaders right now. x'D

Jio should have kept their terms and condition upfront before making people sign a contract. Its clearly their fault. Maybe providing a refund will fix this.

I am not against the terms and condition, all of them make sense to avoid misuse.

@Smh where is it written you have to compulsory return the phone after 3 years? why would jio what that in the first place?
If someone wants their 1500 back then only they have to return it after a period of there year, that it the meaning of the condition, jio is not forcing you to give it back.

@munabhai Reliance Jio JioPhone (Rs. 1500) read point 7

contract doesn't work like you take signatures on a blank paper and write whatever crazy term you can think of

but yeah people should have took precaution before getting into a shady deal I am surprised they didn't pulled a stunt like this during free offer.

I only bought 1 sim after the free offer period because their terms plan were simple and clear without conditions.

P.S. - I have not ordered their 1500 phone so I am personally not affected by the terms change.

Has anyone here actually got the phone. They have declared publicly that the phones will be delivered by Diwali. But with Diwali only 10 days or so away, it would be a passive exercise to deliver these phones in such a short span of time.
