Replace UPS Battery or Buy New UPS

I have Tech-com UPS 600kvanow the battery does not hold for even 1 second with or without load.Hence its useless to have that UPS.the new UPS costs around Rs. 1300.What is the cost of new battery?Can that device battery be replaced? Or I just dump it?

most likely no. even the much expensive online ups systems are designed to handle batteries up to a particular load only. in my case it is 100mah.

Ok the current battery on this thing is
12V, 7.2AH, don't have extra cash laying around to buy a new one :\
Any idea who do I check with to get maximum possible battey for this thing.. Microtek cc people are lame!

12v is going to be my guess if it is a generic UPS that you can buy in the market for around 2000-2500 rupees.

i suggest getting an amaron battery for it and extend its life for a year more.

40 minutes backup from this UPS is actually pretty cool. You would not believe how much I have spent on backup solutions just because I do not want to switch to a laptop or a smaller display... Just get an Amaron battery that should last for longer. Exide sucks ass.

Amaron is awesome for car but I thought for ups exide are better

dunno, i switched to amaron for my recent purchase. after having excellent experience with amaron for my bike battery, i am stick with this brand.
