I have been using a WiFi modem DNA-A212 for the last 8 months with no issues. For the last two days I couldn't connect to any site. Sometimes a website would open up partly (Google homepage without the logo, for example) but nothing else. I registered complaints. Then, just for the heck of it, I connected my laptop via the LAN port and VOILA! The net worked fine with the wire but wifi wouldn't work.
Since I was dead sure that it was a hardware issue, I talked with the officer at the local MTNL exchange and after a lot of pleading/arguing I got the modem replaced. The replacement is another DNA-A212 but it looks like it has been around since the '50s. Nevertheless, I plugged it in.
SAME PROBLEM! Wired is fine. Wifi won't work. Is it a co-incidence or what? This is driving me crazy. Please help!

Okay so I placed the modem on a big fat Oxford and wifi works okay now.
I think the issue is resolved temporarily.
