It also depends on how functional it is. WhatsApp lets us stalk people by seeing their last seen(not a problem for me though) And honestly I always wanted to post a FB status of my BB pin :-P

Haha! I'll also post a FB status then. :lol:Yeah, the stalking thing is a good advantage. And the 'D' and 'R' of BBM can be an advantage and a disadvantage too. On WhatsApp you could still get away saying that 'I opened WhatsApp but somehow skipped our chat thread'. :PCan't do this due to the 'R' sign now. ;)

Sadly .. bbm missed the train ..
They woke up too late ...
Won't be possible for any messaging app to match whatsapp ... Its the number of users which matters for these kind of apps ...
And whatsapp is way ahead of anyone ...
And btw one can always disable "Last seen timestamp" in whatsapp ..

Whatsapp has always been insecure and vulnerable. Last time when it was bugged, my phonebook was updated with my Autowala contact details.
With no alternative left, i was using Whatsapp. Now that BBM is coming, I may ditch Whatsapp completely and insist all those who wants to stay connected me to join BBM.

^ kindly advise how to disable the 'last seen at' time stamp. I couldn't find it in settings.

Ohk .. Didn't used it on android.. So I thought the setting must be there on android also ..
In anycase not a big issue ..
Whatsapp Settings ->Chat Settings -> Advanced ..
There u will see the "Last seen timestamp"

Disabling online status is possible in WhatsApp+

Haha. WhatsApp would been in early stages then. Not such issues now.

BTW I hope you know that Google Contacts keep a backup of 30 days for every single change in your contacts. :)

It simply disconnects the internet before the launch of app I guess.

No. I can chat and my last seen is hours back.
