People living in Villages and Tier 3 cities understand the imp of internet compared to metro city people who has the pleasure of enjoying fast internet.
I don't care about their internet nor their TV stb....
Delhi has lot & lots of good ISP's and LCO's... Jio gigafiber has no value in Delhi.
My only apprehension is that they will kill Thop/ Oreo etc..... after commercial launch.
The other good thing is that Jio is responsible for bringing the mobile data revolution, in turn keeping all the players in toes... to keep prices in check as well as bringing the latest technology.
Same thing happened with 4G. They and most people acted liked like Jio had invented 4G. First they didn't launch for 6 years after getting spectrum and then the so called "testing" continued for years. Airtel already had 4G in over 100 cities at that time and still Jio was acting like they had invented the internet.
As reported in the media, gigafiber is operational in about 12 major cities fully. So jio may do commercial launch in those cities only. Other towns may be added as and when ready. This way, their focus at any time will be in a few areas only. And the media clickbaits will make the public crazy throughout the country like during the jio sim period. Jio may think that this may help them in both new customer acquisition and poaching.
