Rumored Reliance Jio Fiber Broadband Plans

As far as I remember the official jio 4g introductory pricing was too high. Eventually they reduced it by half during official launch.

Most probably ACT and gang will be itching now to raise prices and I am expecting their 749 Rs/500 GB to go up by at least 100 Rs in coming months. Decreasing the FUP will be very difficult for everyone. On the other hand, Airtel will be sitting smiling in one corner as subscriber loss will be not that much from what I was expecting. This has paved way for ACT to have monopoly in tier I and II cities and local ISPs in smaller towns. The local ISP in Roorkee is giving 1 TB at 50 mbps in 1199 with excellent support and there is no reason that my friends will shift to Jio Fiber there.

Thank God, Refund Apply Nahi Krena Pdega. :D

@Danish880 I was expecting 1 TB minimum.

Hathway = 1TB or Unlimited on every plan.
Excitel = Unlimited
Airtel = 100GB + 1000 Bonus
ACT = 1TB

Jio = 100 GB. What a superb job.

yeah. this is probably just to make the competition comfortable for a short period of time. when they are ready for wider rollout, the real assault should begin then. there was no point offering competition killing plans right now.

There is a fine line between Broadband and 4G.

You can't install Airtel today, get Jio tomorrow.

People get the connection for months-years not for days.

They missed big opportunity. I was actually think Jio's Fiber would force Airtel to launch Fiber in our area.

But seeing the current plans, GG to those Plans.

LOL for those who were expecting 1Gbps plan for 2k. It was just a fake hype and expectation created by masses. I could guess it right because one of the ISP's here in Punjab having a close partnership with Jio had launched the 1Gbps plan for 4999 a year and half ago and the i was expecting the same. More or less they have the same plans that Jio launched today. TBH, a little pricey given the standard that Jio had set in but more or less seems fair considering the current competition from top Tier 1 players. Local ISP would always have an edge wrt to pricing.

Got a text now that all my plans in the pipe would expire by 6:30PM tomorrow so they didn't even bother to offer an extended period.

target 20 millions homes will never be achieved, maintaing the 5 million active users will be a big deal now. And seems like this plans are official, talked to the jio sales representative , he said , his also confused and said these are the same plans , which have been told to them.

^ Such Gauging can make trouble for Shares. I don't think they are that stupid to risk their rapid share's growth this way. :D
