I personally don't use Android but my brother does and he's waiting for crappy Sammy to update his phone to ICS still, forget about JB and all future updates lol.If I were a buyer of Android of the price range 25k and more I'd rather buy a Nexus than any other for the quick software updates.Any hardware becomes obsolete in a couple of years as the advancement in hardware (till quadcore atleast) is quite fast.

I sometimes fail to understand why don't people just use loads of custom roms available than just wait for an official update. I buy only those androids that are supported by the guys at xda.

because most people do not want to kill the warranty on their phones experimenting with them. playing with custom ROMs might be easy enough today but it is not as easy as installing a software from the app store.

yeah I agree that I may not be very easy but it sure is reversible. so warranty won't be a problem! !

people who can and are willing to mod their phones buy phones that can be modded. people who hate modding like me prefer to go for nexus branded devices. rest of the people do not give a shit about what kind of phone they are buying as long as it suits their needs.

I'm planning to buy a new phone. Confused between Nexus, One X and S3. Can someone please suggest the best one? I don't have any particular type of usage, just need suggestions on which phone is better on the whole. Price wise Nexus seems to be a steal. I called up a store and they have it for 25K.
