Galaxy S source code is available because nexus S has the same hardware. IDK if the camera problem is because of custom rom or a problem in the phone itself.
Main reason because Samsung doesn't release source code is because if old devices get updated to latest version of android then why would a customer buy their newer device every year or two
They are hated because of their hard coding, copy/pasting. Whenever new android version is released, they should start from scratch rather than copy/pasting and modifying.
again its not engineers fault what he does , copy paste etc, they are overworked because of greed of samsung etc to launch phones everyday , they dont have enough time to do from scratch , they are not allowed , they cannot do it on their own .
and about galaxy s , i am not talking about camera , but over all its custom roms were shit too , have seen it with my own eyes
but with whatever time they get they make good use of it , roms are stable and all mostly

Actually the moto is #blamesamsung not #blamesamsung'sengineers. With whatever part of source code is available for galaxy S1 because of nexus S, it is doing a pretty good job. Much better than S2 or S3/Note or Note 2.
EDIT: BTW how do you know that they are overworked or engineers are less and work is more? They are lazy as ****. One can see that by their documentation and arrangement of source code. Low how organised and clean source code Sony releases. They have a website of their developers, their developers are on xda to take suggestions and help 3rd party developers. A petition was signed by 100 people to release Xperia x10(it was 3 years old at that time) camera source code, sony released it in days. This had 11k signs and 0 source code was released.

It never happened on pc but on Note II on youtube most of my videos buffer even on a 2mbps connection, is that because of the fact that on mobile youtube all videos start at 1080p?

Samsung's recent smug attitude made me go for LG. Selling lower specs Note 3 to unsuspecting Indians was downright unethical. Worse the demo pieces in shops were Euro Spec. So quietly got LG G2 and I think that LG finally has a winner at their hands. Phone of the frikkin' year!!
I also managed to sell my 16+64 GB Note 2 for 22k as it was in mint condition.

A new update is released again world wide but not accessible ota right now, will try tomorrow hopefully battery life is improved

It won't work OTA. Use Samsung Kies and update your firmware. I just did it yesterday. I cannot recognize any significant changes - probably a stability update. Once updated please let me know what changes you can recognize. Best of Luck
