Tried it 4-5 times, sacrificed my two hours sleep to see this.


I had told this before in some other thread - Never use Samsung suite to update ur OS. Just thank ur "Stars" that u didnt brick ur phone. I had bricked my phone doing this - it downloaded, started installing & then the lazy bum left it mid-way saying that it "Cudnt load some sh*t file from some nonsense directory."

It checked for the update OTA just once, failed that time and now says no updates available. It's getting annoying now.

Better use Odin, if everything else is failing.

@sam my brother bricked his note with the ota just 3 days back

Same thing happened when I was doing the update OTA, it just downloaded the update and restarted.

Rebooted and said, update was not successful

Today I tried it multiple times with KIES, and it updated successfully to 4.0.4

I feel quite lucky now!

The window where you type the SMS message is changed, looks very weird now.

The pop up player works fine, but on such a big screen such a small player looks like a joke.

I m not sure what the ideal figures shud be. But if its really weird, then u can re-flash it a few days later. If that still doesnt work, may be change the ROM! Atleast thats what i wud have thought of if i were in ur place.......

I just avoid messing with the phone for some reason, I am yet to figure what is the reason.Just trying to live with it, I have to turn off 3G otherwise phone won't last more than 9-12 hours, even at standby.Have to turn off data transfer completely.I don't know why this phone is getting worse with each update.
