samsung will never be able to fix this lag and RAM issue on the Galaxy s... because it is not a *software* company.. even though specs wise the phone is good the quadrant benchmark scores are very low because of the touchwiz UI rom
Dude do not arrive at a conclusion that "samsung will never be able to fix this lag and RAM issue on the galaxy s" When they have manufactured it, they will also be able to fix issues on it.
When you say quadrant benchmark scores are very low, with which mobile are you comparing? and what quadrant score should galaxy have in your opinion?

mmm. in the end, they are partners of google and they do get tons of support from the actual android developers.
and samsung is indeed in software business. they have their own bada platform. and i bet they have a decent sized team working on android too.
in the end, each of their phone comes loaded with a customized android build loaded with touchwiz.
it is for them to decide whether to ditch touchwiz totally and go for stock android builds.
I agree to your comment. Samsung is growing huge in software development market. I bought Samsung Galaxy because of touchwiz UI as i didnot like stock android UI.
If Touchwiz UI has got some lag, then samsung will definitely come up with a concrete solution. They are spending hell lot of money on software development.
but still samsung is more of TVs and cameras and other consumer goods... yes even the cellphones are good Corbys were a hit, so are the galaxys.....
they are not that much into software. they will have to drop BADA if they want to come out with more android phones
I agree that samsng is more into manufacturing and selling TV but not cameras. Samsung is not famous in selling digi cams. My bro is using Wave 8500 and i am very much impressed with BADA. Samsung would not drop BADA. They would sell BADA phones parallely with Android.

Do you think since samsung cannot solve issue since its not a sofware company like microsoft?
the froyo rollout for galaxy s and samsung kies are some examples
like i never have had problem with itunes and pc connectivity of my old click wheel ipod then ipod touch and now ipad with my very old PC. but this samsung kies is so pathetic.
Do you think Froyo and Samsung Kies have many problems? naah... I agree that Kies is not polished as itunes but its not pathetic. It does its job for what it is developed.

Yes. I like itunes compared to KIES as its stable. KIES behaves unpredictably.

I agree that Apple restricts direct upload of files to its devices but still itunes has many options compared to KIES. Specially i like online store where in you can buy music, movies, videos and apps. I got an Ipod classic 80GB variant and quite satisfied with itunes. It would have been better if we could bypass itunes for moving music or videos.

My Galaxy s crashes 10 times a day during any application use installed on sd card or not doesn't matter , even default browser crashes a lot, what about urs?
