What you're looking at here are apparently benchmarks from the Galaxy S II Plus -- yep, another incremental step-up for an existing Samsung device. According to the results, the phone will carry the same resolution screen of the original (800 x 480), but will purportedly be the first device to carry a dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos processor -- placing it just ahead of even the Galaxy Note.

Is this the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus? Leaked benchmarks suggest new 1.5GHz dual-core Exynos processor - Engadget

Is this actually a new processor or just the old one overclocked? Because my note runs fine at 1704 MHz.

knowing samsung anything is possible. there are also reports of a Galaxy nexus plus that could feature an improved processor, bigger battery and guess what? the 8mp camera unit from S2. they have also launched a plus version of galaxy s right? it is getting very hard to keep an eye on all these variants. :|

According to Chilean carrier VTR, Samsung's Galaxy S II Plus will be sporting a 4.5-inch AMOLED display, which is said to be paired alongside a dual-core, 1.5GHz Exynos CPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and an 8-megapixel rear camera -- notably, the site's also listing it as an Ice Cream Sandwich device, making it slightly different than what we'd seen previously in earlier benchmark scores.

Powered by Jelly Bean and a dual-core processor, Galaxy S II Plus does not really add any pluses to the original Galaxy S II.

The smartphone features a 4.3-inch WVGA(480×800) Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, FM Radio, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and 1,650 mAh battery.

It is likely to join Galaxy S III mini in the mid-range segment of the Korean manufacturer’s smartphone portfolio.

Samsung is releasing two variants of the phone, with and without NFC. The NFC variant will be 0.4mm thicker; the rest of the dimensions will remain same. It will be sold in white and dark blue colours.

What a fail. They literally haven't upgraded any hardware while throwing in more of their bloatware.

I guess they will just use it to replace the S2 for a while, like they had the Galaxy S plus replace the Galaxy S in the market before pulling it off.
