explain to me why a 5mp camera is useless?

when was the last time you got printed something that was larger than 5mp?

5mp is i believe larger than majority of computer displays used by people (not if you have a retina macbook pro though)

My Galaxy Nexus takes crappy & blurry photos with its 5 mp camera

lol. that is not the fault of the 5 megapixel camera. that is fault of a less capable camera sensor. i am sure you would agree that a 5 megapixel point and shoot camera would beat any smartphone camera in the market today. it is all about the size of the sensor.

if the sensor sucks, a 100mp camera on a camera would not take good photos. :)

as for Galaxy nexus... i think it does a pretty decent job as long as there is enough lights in the area. also focusing by clicking on the screen helps a lot!

even my 3.2 Mp Sony ericsson snaps did better than 5mp galaxy S snaps

but note's 8 MP snaps breaks the deal

its about sensors , decent 5 MP with decent sensor will get nice results instead of hogging on the Pixels alone
