May be Offtopic: Not sure how many of you watch (I watch it sometimes ) Sony TV serial "Bade ache lagte..." which has Ram Kapoor in lead role, and produced by Ekta Kapoor.
Earlier he was having iPhone, but now he carries black grey phone, which looks like Galaxy SIII

I thought android was more user friendly and less of a hassle.

iOS definitely beats android and WP in terms of user friendliness. Android users like to customise their phones which iOS doesn't allow easily.
