well. the best way to deal with this is to replace the defective units. but it is unlikely to happen here in india. but considering the number of units s3 sold in the international market, i am going to say that this is not a unique case. a small number of units are going to have manufacturing related issues. though problems are generally visible in a matter of days not months so something is definitely wrong in this specific case.

-------------------When I wake up today, Checked notifications and noticed that battery is 23%. So, plugged in charging which charged for almost 30 minutes. Then After reaching office when I checked my phone, Violet LED was blinking hinting that some mail on Yahoo have arrived. When I pressed the " Home Button " nothing worked. I thought that phone might have got hanged. So I tried to restart the Handset but again nothing happened. Finally I removed the battery, put it back and :Boy Heart Borken: My Samsung Galaxy S III was dead. Its heart beat and pulse had gone. Service Center gal tried to put it on ventilator by inserting another battery but nothing worked. Finally it was sent for postmortem and I will get the results after 3 days.

I am seriously thinking of s3 .... in first week of Jan 2013now i better spend 2k more and buy s3 with warranty.

This is a serious flaw from Samsung It shouldn't happen in high class devices like SIII. People will be more worried once warranty period is over, and that will/may affect the sales of upcoming models.

I had purchased this handset from Reliance Digital and their bill paper and printing is very bad which had almost faded out. Earlier i didn't cared about it but today i went back to that showroom and demanded re-print of the Bill on a Xerox Paper. I am so upset and scared with my handset.

No more Samsung handset in future for me. :nono:

Take One more step and go for extended warranty.
