i don't have any issues with my phone. Just that I want to change.

the mentioned issues are of s4 not s3. i too had no issues with s3 but to buy a new device sold that.

I have updated to latest firmware, Only Snapdragon processor users got 9.23GB, Indian versions got 8.90GB. Now device uses less RAM.

I am going to state the obvious. Samsung is not the first company doing it.
The 3TB HDD I purchased from WD... Guess how much space I actually got?

Here is information for Microsoft Surface RT

The 32 GB version has approximately 15 GB free hard disk space.
The 64 GB version has approximately 45 GB free hard disk space.

Instead of considering 1024 bytes as 1 kilobyte, manufacturers consider 1000 bytes as 1 kilobyte. Adds up to quite a bit in your case.
