but Apoorv, what is this Van De Graff gen thing?BTW is it in the 9 th standard syllabus?:confused::confused:please reply soon.

Nope, Van De Graff comes much later. In XIIth, to be precise. In lower classes, most probably it'll be used only as an example or sumthin

A friend of mine, Ankur, made a Van De Graaff generator when he was in 8th standard, and won the best model prize for it. So was just making a suggestion. He told me it wasn't very difficult to make.

ok,i am makin this van de graff gen.i think i will work.wish me luck.

Well, do what you want, but just take this one advice-Make any model but not those which require too much energy or time, 'cause, later you'll realize that it was just not worth it. Rather, use that time to do somethin else (like increasing your extra-curricular activities a bit, 'cause they'll really help you later in life for college admissions in India n abroad).

@thanks 4 the advise mann. But majboori thi.i didnt have any other choice.i had to submit than model today.submitted it got 5 outta 5.:thumbsup:

heh exactly... the best thing in school is to not waste time on idiotic stuff. teachers today no longer appreciate the extra work you put in... in the end what you do for yourself matters...

^hmmm, exactly!I loathe myself when I thinks what all I could have done instead of putting so much energy into stupid history projects in lower classes

How times change.. earlier ONLY your PCM (and sometimes English) score mattered in JEE and state entrance exams. Replace M with B for AIIMS and such.

Do they consider things like these now a days?
