bing does not load that image immediately. it takes its own time. if you are on a slow connection, you would probably never see the image loading in the background.

even on my 512kbps connection i end up on the result page before that background image starts loading

btw, the image concept is from the live search days.

I cant believe that!!!!! I'm on a 256 kbps connection and it took me only 1 to 2 secnds to load the website completely. Which browser do you use?

heh. either i type very fast or i have too many things running in the background weirdly google chrome has not picked up bing.com as a search engine service automatically as it does with similar sites. :frown:

Google chrome is not at all good... I tried it, tested it and uninstalled it. It loads the websites of its creators extremely fast eg.google.com, gmail.com,orkut.com etc. But I'm not satisfied with its performance on some websites. Firefox is the best. Now a non-technical question.... Do you live in India? If yes, when will you go to sleep?

chrome works great for me. the more you use it the better it performs.as for sleeping. i sleep when i cannot stay up any longer.

Now , microsoft takes upon itself to act as a net monitor , i can understand blocking of p0rn sites etc but what about wikipedia pages etc

bing has this bug currently.

searching with india settings does not let you access safesearch settings.

you have to change the region setting from top right.

once you change it to USA, it all works fine.
