Well IMO , when you want to search for something obscure , an overload of results is necessary

and the truth is bing does not change much. what they are claiming is what wolframalpha is doing. google can already do most of what bing claims to be doing and more. the only think that bing does better is probably product and travel booking search.

wolframalpha is good for instant summary for stuff but it doesnt give detail. that is when u need links to further info. wikipedia is better in that sense. it has summary/detail and external links.

but wikipedia cannot compute in real time :D also... wikipedia data is not trustworthy (it's not perfect)...i have seen wolfram retrieving data from the wikipedia but i guess they tend to rely on more dependable resources.

yes all 3 have different purpose but i dont know how many wud really be doing computing online?

Wolfram Alpha is way different than both Google and Bing , the kind of scientific and mathematical tools it has is mind blowing , i mean you enter a compund's formula and you get the 3D Structure , name ,weight blah blah blah , normally , i would have to scourge through 10-15 web pages and then sift out this info , which i know would have directly as a pdf . But say i want the phone number of ABC Tours and Travels , i wont get it on Wolfram

exactly but how many ppl wud do complex tasks? that too online?wrt computing, wolframalpha wud be best for those who actually know, how to make use of it.
