Only 96 members present ? A bit confused shoudnt there be more members we did elect over 500 of them.

I guess most of them decided to not come back after lunch. I am still amazed that 24 MPs actually yeyed considering how big of a taboo this topic is in India.

Hmm, so there is no criteria for minimum MPs present one guy can show up and vote for his own bill and get it passed to the next stage.

I am trying to find out attendance records for lok sabha and minimum presence required not able to , but in the above case it was not even 20% which seems quite bad when a bill is being voted.

They postponed voting on transgender rights to budget session (whatever that means). I guess the general feeling was to get this one over with as soon as possible. Looking at the average age and general mentality of our parliamentarians, the session would have been fun to see them discuss gay sex. :banghead:

• SC has agreed to examine whether it had erred in passing the judgment on gay sex in India.
• SC had overturned a Delhi high court verdict decriminalising gay sex among consenting adults in private.
• Arun Jaitley had earlier criticised the SC verdict on gay sex.

Unlikely. But should be fun how RSS/SS/ETC react if they overturn their previous judgement.
